CloudVertical assets acquired by Cloudability What does it mean?
When Copper acquired Cloudvertical in 2013, we believed strongly in cloud economics as a core part of the stack we were building. Ultimately, Copper went deeper on DNS, testing and notifications than on providing cost and usage data.
We’ve always had great respect for Cloudability - and we’ve known the team there for quite some time. I think it’s fair to say they are the undisputed leader in the space - and certainly the first mover, with a rich product.
Focus is important to us, it’s hard to do a great job on multiple fronts. Rather than compete in an area where we already see a clear winner, we’ve partnered with Cloudability, who are acquiring the assets of Cloudvertical.
We’ll continue to run the Cloudvertical platform until April 10th and we won’t be investing further development resources into it. You’ll hear from Cloudability directly on how to signup and who to talk to about using the Cloudability platform. Or go straight to info page Cloudability put up to help with migration.
